This tutorial covers basic planet and space compositing in After Effects. Using simple effects like Fractal Noise, Glow and CC Sphere, an AE Editor can easily create both a planet with depth and realistic light settings as well as backdrop filled with stars that stretch into the distance. This first installment will help AE Editors understand the basic aesthetic of space as we move forward with more complicated compositing.
