Digital Matte Painting And Projection Basics: From Photoshop To Maya To Nuke, Part 3

by

This Cyber Monday Tuts+ courses will be reduced to just $3 (usually $15). Don't miss out.

This tutorial series covers a variety of basic techniques for both creating and projecting matte paintings using Photoshop, Maya and Nuke. In this third part of the Digital Matte Painting and Projection Basics tutorials we'll start importing the matte painting we created in the first two parts to Maya. Then build our projection geometry and animation camera, once we have this setup we'll export everything to Nuke for the final stage of the camera projection.

>Once in Nuke we'll import all of the geometry from Maya along with the cameras and animation, and bring in all the exported pieces of the matte painting. We'll then combine both together to achieve the camera projection inside Nuke, which will give us much more freedom for post-processing, then a simple one in Maya would.
