Creating an Ice Cream Bar Animation with Maya, RealFlow And AE - Part 2

by

Hey folks, in this portion of the tutorial we are going to focus on the pouring liquid chocolate simulation in RealFlow. We'll start off by finding ways to achieve a stable viscosity liquid simulation, and discuss the different ways to apply it on a horizontal surface VS a vertical surface. After that we'll import our simulation to Maya, create a shader for it and integrate it into the animation.

Once you've wrapped up work on part 2, immediately head over to Aetuts+ for the conclusion of the project. Where you'll learn how to composite all the cg elements together and make everything look sexy with some post work in After Effects!

Project Overview:
In this three part tutorial spanning both Cgtuts+ and Aetuts+, we are going to create liquid chocolate pouring over a branded ice cream bar. To achieve this we will use Maya for mashing and rendering. RealFlow for the chocolate simulation. And finally in After Effects we'll create the chocolate chunks and glow streaks swoosh, as well as the final compositing.
